type='text'>A Dog Run</title><content type='html'>I think I will call my short runs, my dog run. &amp;nbsp;It is when I make sure I take Max out on his run. &amp;nbsp;Now he is a high energy fast runner and could certainly do more than 4K but I am a big chicken about running in the bush with all the bear and cougars we have around here so 2K in and back is about all I can handle. &amp;nbsp;So I do it for him, he loves it, my dog run. &amp;nbsp;Now I had planned on doing my dog runs on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays with my 8K runs on the street on Tuesday and Thursday and my long (working towards 20K) run on Sunday. &amp;nbsp;Well this week I did my long run on Monday and I was so happy that &lt;strike&gt;I had and excuse,&lt;/strike&gt;&amp;nbsp;I mean couldn't go for a run as I had to take Jaimee to Parksville. &amp;nbsp;The day after my long run I have quite stiff legs so I think I am going to have to knock out one run during the week too. &amp;nbsp;So I think my schedule will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday dog runs, Thursday 8K and Sunday 20K. &amp;nbsp;Monday and Saturday will be my rest days.&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' type='text'>Note to self</title><content type='html'>Finally able to fit in a run albeit a short one. &amp;nbsp;I wanted to run about 8K today and took the dog with me. &amp;nbsp;I just wasn't able to do it, too hard running with him on a leash now that it is warm out so I cut it short and did 5 instead. &amp;nbsp;I will try and do a short 4K run through the bushes Monday, Wednesday and Fridays so I can take him. &amp;nbsp;Then on Tuesday and Thursdays I will try and do a 10K when I can and Sundays in July I will go for 17K, August 19K and September 21K all to get ready for the half marathon in type='text'>Lots of Exercise on the weekends!</title><content type='html'>Last weekend while camping I ran 13K to our track meet and the next day I biked it. &amp;nbsp;Not much time for running during this past week, not even with the Running Club at school. &amp;nbsp;Yesterday I ran about 4K with the dog and today I did just over 15K.. &amp;nbsp;This long run was good. &amp;nbsp;I don't get type='text'>I tried...</title><content type='html'>Well there was a bit of a break in the rain and the sun poked out so I tried to get a run in today. &amp;nbsp;However, the knee wasn't cooperating and I had to cut it short. &amp;nbsp;I went to the specialist last week and he says that I have had this problem since a kid (did have knee problems then) and basically my cartlidge is slowly breaking down, there is nothing really that I can do about it and it may perhaps eventually be arthritic. &amp;nbsp;Sucks but some days are better than others with it and that is why I didn't push it today, type='text'>Finally Run</title><content type='html'>Well being really sick and absolutely no energy for one week and then this week recouping I have not done a lot of exercise.&amp;nbsp; Today Jason and I went for a run through the trails.&amp;nbsp; He left his truck at a friends so we had to run over to get it.&amp;nbsp; It was raining slightly but it was ok.&amp;nbsp; Was still a little hard for me, had a hard time breathing.&amp;nbsp; But I got out that is the main thing.&amp;nbsp; Funny thing is... he left his truck at his friends house, who happens to have gotten a ride here so he can catch a cab after the superbowl.&amp;nbsp; I said, "Why didn't you just leave him your keys and he could have just driven your truck here today rather than having (his wife) drop him off?"&amp;nbsp; I finally got out for a run again.&amp;nbsp; Danica and I have been going to Curves a couple of times per week, aiming for 3 but seem to only get 2 times.&amp;nbsp; I have gone on a hike with Jason and the dog, but with snow on the ground and the busyness of the days I haven't been able to run.&amp;nbsp; Friday morning when I woke up I was soaking wet, guess the 'fever' broke.&amp;nbsp; Anyhow apart from a couple of running club runs and the short daily runs with my class I haven't done anything.&amp;nbsp; It felt good.  I didn't push myself, just ran at a steady pace. I wanted to do my 10K in prep for this weekend.&amp;nbsp; I wore hubby's GPS watch and was really pushing myself to get up to 'speed' as no matter how fast I ran, I couldn't get to my regular speed!&amp;nbsp; I thought what has happened to me I have barely started out, can't get to my usual pace and am getting really tired?! I figured out that it was still set for biking as he took it on a bike ride the other day thus instead of giving me my pace in minutes per km I was in km/hr thus the faster I ran the higher the number got (eg. 11 km/hr) rather than smaller (5.5 min/km)!&amp;nbsp; Someone said the other day, "I went to bed and woke up in November!" Pretty much sums it up, it is dreary, cloudy, cold and rainy.&amp;nbsp; Today no rain, but still cold.&amp;nbsp; When it was like this in the winter I thought it was a great running day, but at the end of May it is not what I expect.&amp;nbsp;
