Plugging along
Well another run, I still keep to be hanging around the same average speed, I'm sure it is those darn hills. Oh well, each run is about 400 kcal and that is good!

Home again finally
Finally at home again for a few days before camping again. I went for a run this morning. I have to say I am feeling very disappointed as I can not get any more pounds to budge off. I would love to lose another 10 and 15 would be awesome but just aiming for 10 right now. Very disappointing that it is sticking like glue. Almost makes me want to give up but I won't just wallowing right now - did have 2 cookies though, hehehe

Slow and steady
Today I wasn't really feeling like running so I decided to do a shorter and slower run. I did 4K along the beach instead of 5K. Almost like a day off! Still 339 calories though, and that is a good thing! no run tomorrow as we will be packing up and heading home.

Another run today
Another lazy, beautiful camping day. I did my 5K run this morning. Hoping to do one again tomorrow then we head home on Friday. Everyone went to the beach I stayed behind to babysit little Max, who is proving to be a great little puppy!
Ran yesterday
We are now camping and although when I camp I really get into it - ie. get up and sit, sit, sit - I didn't feel like it but I went for a 5K run along the beach. Felt good.

Let the timing begin
So today I used Jason's GPS watch and my average speed is about 6.04 min/km, and I burned about 384 kcal! Now I know what my speed is and I wonder if I can get faster? Time will tell.

Building speed
Now that I am comfortable with my distance I am working on increasing my speed a bit. We'll see how that goes. I guess it means I'll have to get techie and use Jason's GPS watch. Oh and I ran today.

What to say?
I am always struggling with what to write here but then I thought about why I started this blog in the first place. I started it as a diary of sorts of my journey to my weight loss goal. My record keeper of runs, pounds lost etc. Nothing more, nothing less. So with that in mind just a quick post today to say that I did a run, I am liking my runs and now when we camp I want it to have a place that I can run. :)

Getting there
I was smart today and went out for my run earlier today and it was much better! the sun was just starting to get warm as I was finishing. So here's the deal, I did not get to my 40 pounds in the year but I did make about 32. I am hoping to get to 35 by then end of July - I'm getting there.

Yay another run
Danica had her tonsils out and is resting and doing well. We had our overnight stay in the hospital and got home yesterday afternoon to 38 degree weather! Today is going to be another hot one so I did my run already. Thank goodness, it was already feeling warm.

Getting into the groove
I still feel like a hamster in a wheel and I shouldn't as school is out. However there is so much to do to catch up on things around here and more activities keep being planned. I need a few days at home to feel like I am making a dent ahhh, hopefully that will start on Friday. I did do a run today now to prepare for today's festivities.

Been off kilter lately!
Haven't had much time for myself lately so I haven't not been very regular on my runs. However, now that work is done I hope to get back onto a schedule and my goal is to lose 7 pounds before September. We just got back from a 4 day camping trip - I spent most of the time napping! I did however, manage to do a 5K run along the beach, so nice!
