I think I will call my short runs, my dog run. It is when I make sure I take Max out on his run. Now he is a high energy fast runner and could certainly do more than 4K but I am a big chicken about running in the bush with all the bear and cougars we have around here so 2K in and back is about all I can handle. So I do it for him, he loves it, my dog run. Now I had planned on doing my dog runs on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays with my 8K runs on the street on Tuesday and Thursday and my long (working towards 20K) run on Sunday. Well this week I did my long run on Monday and I was so happy that
I had and excuse, I mean couldn't go for a run as I had to take Jaimee to Parksville. The day after my long run I have quite stiff legs so I think I am going to have to knock out one run during the week too. So I think my schedule will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday dog runs, Thursday 8K and Sunday 20K. Monday and Saturday will be my rest days.

Haven't done a lot of running this week, the two times I tried I wasn't feeling well so I took a couple of days off. Today I did my short run through the bush so I could take Max and it was a great run. Feeling good, knees not sore and I increased my speed a titch. All in all a good one!

Today is Monday, which means taking Max for a short run to the creek (about a 4K run). He likes it so I try to do it a few times a week. I think though, that I may have a touch of the flu or something because like yesterday it is just not going well. Feeling kinda clammy and not well while running. Perhaps I'll take it easy today and take tomorrow off.

So I have more time on my hands now that it is summer and I am forgetting to do all of my blogging! Go figure. Last week I ran on Monday with the dog and on Thursday I did and 8K. Today I was going to do my 16K but it just wasn't working for me, sore knees and all so I cut it short and came home. I did 9K so not too bad.

I did a great long run (16K) on Saturday and it felt great. I was sore though on Sunday and a little better today. Tonight we had a cool night so I decided to do a short (5K) run, and it was tough. My legs were still tired/sore from Saturday. Oh well at least I ran.
