Beautiful day

I had a better day at work and it was such beautiful weather I went for a run.  I did 8K in about 49 minutes.  Felt good!

Wow!

Yesterday was very stormy - windy and rainy so I went to Curves.  Today it was a beautiful fall day so I went on a 12K run!  Slowly pushing myself to go farther, hoping next year in October to do the half marathon rather than the 8K I am doing this year.

Long Run Day

It was pouring, really pouring last night so I thought I wouldn't be running today.  But it stopped and was beautiful out.  I went out and ran about 11.5K.  I went slow and it was windy but it was a good run.

Oh and I have finally hit the 35 pound mark! YAY!

Curves day

Well I decided to try and fit some Curves into my schedule too, so today I went, although it would have been a good running day.  I took it easy as I don't want to reinjure anything so we shall see how it goes.

Just running

So Monday and today after work I made myself go for a run.  I am always so tired, and just want to sit but before I do that I just change and go.  They are short ones, but I'm ok with that.  Until I get in more of a routine with back to work, it is good enough.

Short not long today...

What a crazy morning!  Trying to make some soup and bread, and no ingredients! URGH.  Oh well, everything is on and I finally got out for my run.  I just did a short 5K was supposed to do 10K on Sundays, but by the time I got out I only felt like doing short one.

Better than...

Today was a short, slower run.  However, it was a day when I got home from work and felt like laying down and going to sleep kind of day.  So a short, slow run is better than that!

Yay I did it!

Ran a 10K race today in Nanaimo.  A tough, hilly race but I bettered my last time and finished in an hour, quite happy about that!  Jason did the half marathon in 1 hour 46 minutes!

Geesh

Finally got my long run in.  I wanted to do my 10K in prep for this weekend.  I wore hubby's GPS watch and was really pushing myself to get up to 'speed' as no matter how fast I ran, I couldn't get to my regular speed!  I thought what has happened to me I have barely started out, can't get to my usual pace and am getting really tired?! I figured out that it was still set for biking as he took it on a bike ride the other day thus instead of giving me my pace in minutes per km I was in km/hr thus the faster I ran the higher the number got (eg. 11 km/hr) rather than smaller (5.5 min/km)!  Geesh!  At least I figured it out early on and didn't burn myself out.  I cleared the watch and continued my run.
