Bleck!
I wanted to run 10K today, my last one before the race next Sunday but it just didn't happen. It was just one of those running days when it wasn't supposed to be so I only ran about 3.5K. I may take tomorrow off then try again on Tuesday.

Not hungry today...
I didn't feel hungry on my run (do now though) so I made the 8K today. A good run. Now to eat, shower and head in to the school.

Imagine...
So I went for a run again and fully intended on running 8K but part way in it was harder for me than usual. Then near the end I was very hungry! So I cut it at 5.5K and called it good. That has never happened before. Oh well each week I do a shorter run I guess this was it!

Weigh in Wednesday
I saw another blogger who is on a weight loss journey like myself and she has a 'weigh in wednesday'. I like that so since I won't be running today - first day getting into my class to prep for back to school on Sept. 7 - I thought I would do my own weigh in. Remember when I started this journey I was hoping for 40 pounds lost. In one year (July) I was at 30 and had hoped that this summer I could hit the 35 pound mark.... I am at 34 pounds! Yippee!

A 10K
Today I went a bit farther on my run so I ran at a bit of a slower pace. I did about 10.5k and I still felt good at the end. Getting ready for my 10k race on September 5th.

Played a little long...
I played a little long in my craft room this morning so I had to do a short run. Lots of stuff to do today. So a 20 minute run is better than nothing. And I am happy to say that the scale is sneaking down a bit again finally!

Finally at it again
Well after a few days off due to garage sale, camping and such I finally ran again. I did about 9.5K and took it slow. It felt good.

Like Childbirth???
Today I ran 9.5K and it was a 760 kcal run! I signed myself up for a 10K run in Nanaimo on September 5th... geesh what was I thinking??? When I finished my last 10K I felt so terrible that I didn't think I would do one again, now here I am a few months later and signed up for another one. Perhaps it is like childbirth... you kind of forget what it is like until you are going through it again! LOL we'll see.

Running with the devil...
there now I have said it! I sure hope that running 8K at least 4 times per week rather than 5K will help shed some of these last few pounds otherwise I will blame the devil! Had a great run today.

Over the hill...!
not in age (yet, hehehe) - I finally ran all the way up Ravenhill (quite a steep hill) so I didn't walk at all on my 8K run today! I had wanted to title my post 'running with the devil' since I can't lose these last few pounds but I'll save that for another day. 646 kcal today!

Ran to my car!
Yesterday I was able to pick up the new car that I ordered, now how to get there - Jason was at work? Actually I just decided to run over to the dealer, it was a good 5K run and I did it faster than any other 5K I've done... now because a lot of downhill? or because I was excited to be getting my car? both? Who knows but what a great reason to run!

8K!
So I did an 8K in about 49 minutes today. I have to say I am addicted to Jason's GPS that I kind of laughed at him for getting. I love knowing how far I went, how fast I went, my average pace and how many calories I have burned! Today 642kcal - yay!

Wow, felt good
Today I decided to stretch out my regular run around my neighborhood, hills and all I did 7.3K in 45 minutes and it felt good. Next time I'll go a little farther and try for 8K since I am doing the 8K again in October. Hard to believe a year ago I couldn't even run 2k!

A nice long run
Today I got to do a longer run without really any hills, what a nice change. I went for a 7K run between Parksville and Qualicum, if only the runs in Port were so nice and flat.
